Hatch Reinforcement Rings

Product Description

These plywood reinforcing rings are pre-cut to the correct size for our screw-in inspection hatches. When installing a hatch in a bulkhead or tank, it is a good idea to add a plywood pad on the back, unless the bulkhead is already quite thick. This will reinforce the bulkhead and increase the depth of the screw holes so that they can get a good grip. It also prevents the sharp ends of the screws from sticking through and snagging on any gear you store inside the hatch.

These pre-cut rings also make a convenient template for marking out and cutting the hole when installing your hatches.

They are CNC-cut from 6 mm marine plywood.
