Invisible Hatch Hold-Down Kit

This kit uses internal stainless steel hooks and shock cord to hold down your kayak hatches, with no hardware visible on deck. Perfect for strip-planked kayaks with flush hatches, when you don't want anything to spoil the seamless look of your elegant design.

Stainless steel hooks on the underside of the hatch lids hook onto loops of shock cord fastened inside the boat and the tension of the elastic holds the hatches firmly closed.

The kit will also work with most non-flush wooden kayak hatches.

The kit includes parts for two kayak hatches. It includes the machined wooden parts, the shock cord (bungee cord) and the stainless steel hooks. It comes with complete instructions.

A small amount of epoxy and fillers will be needed (not included). If you are building your boat, you will probably already have plenty to install this hold-down kit.
